Basics of SDE with SQL Server Express
This class is an advanced class and only for users with either an ArcEditor or ArcInfo license. You will be introduced to SDE and versioning, You will create a GeoDatabase, manage users and priviledges, create versions using differing scenarios, edit versions, reconcile and post changes. The students are encouraged to design their own scenarios, test theories and report their findings. Students are encouraged to attend the optional review session to wrap up the course and ask questions.
This course only represents a portion of the on-site class curriculum for "SDE for SQL Server Express". This course is a pre-requisite for "Using Replication and Archiving with SDE GeoDatabases".

Pre-reqs: Strong skill with ArcGIS and editing feature classes. Knowledge of topology and feature datasets.

Hardware/Software Requirements:
ESRI specified hardware and ArcEditor or ArcInfo 10 (sp 3 preferred)
You must have SQL Server Express or other supported SDE instance installed and full access to create and manage GeoDatabases with that instance.
